Hurricane Irene Damages Basement

Orange, Sullivan & Ulster Counties all got hit extremely hard by Hurricane Irene. This hurricane caused hundreds of houses and commercial buildings become under water. This basement was hit with 2-3 feet of water in the area. It came up right through the cement slab. To avoid any further damage such as mold we needed to cut the sheetrock 4 feet and take out all the insulation in the walls. The flooring also was floating so that needed to come out. After everything was taken out, drying equipment was placed and the area was dry after only 3 days. The area was ready for reconstruction and get back to normal life.
