Peekskill Finished Basement Gets Thorough Cleanup from Water Damage

The hot water tank had worked flawlessly in this Peekskill home until it reached the end of its service life and dumped tens of gallons of water in this finished basement. SERVPRO technicians extracted the water and found a large amount of moisture under the carpet. In order to dry the concrete slab underneath, the techs removed the ruined carpet for disposal with permission from the homeowner. The techs then worked on drying the floor to prep it for the installation of a new floor covering once the mitigation efforts completed by confirming the dryness of the basement through the use of their advanced detection equipment.
